I’ll go ahead and throw my story in here, because nicotine has been my never-ending rollercoaster.

I started smoking when I was six years old and was full-on addicted by my teen years. I smoked for 20 years. Twenty! In 2000, I finally was able to quit...for 14 years! And during that time, the only time I ever smoked was occasionally while out drinking with friends — just a social thing. I thought I had it beat.

Then… right before my divorce, I slipped back into it. That was 9 years ago, and I’ve been battling it off and on ever since. It’s been frustrating, discouraging, and honestly… embarrassing. Because I know better. I’ve done it before. And yet here I was, still stuck in the cycle....so many times and years!

But—today marks Day 3 of no vaping. I’m trying the nicotine mints this time, and so far, they’re actually helping with the cravings. I’m feeling hopeful again… like I’ve finally climbed back on the wagon.

This time, I’m not chasing perfection — I’m just staying focused on progress. One day at a time.

If you’re on your own rollercoaster, I get it. You’re not alone.

Anyone else here fighting nicotine or any other “fix”? Let’s encourage each other!!❤️
